legs on the truck, legs on lj

he transmission of the truck is pretty much shot. It turns out however that I have 5th and 10th gears, so the fleet-owner is paying me to drive the crippled truck to Iowa, if I can make it there before losing those last two gears. While it was a bit of a detour, I still slipped by welfy's house last night and picked her up for our month-long road trip together. So now it's her, Fubu, and me on the truck. The truck's becoming rather crowded these days.

n continuing with the SHOW US YOUR GAMS challenge, today's photo is of m0nkeygrl, one of my earliest LiveJournal friends. When she sent it to me she called them her "clam chowder legs", because they're white and chunky. I think they look awesome, plus you get bonus points for wearing your Reverend Horton Heat shirt.

Hehe. Thank you, m'dear. :)

I gotta ask... is all this repair work having to be done for this truck worth it? Are you actually buying a Money Pit on Wheels?

ight now, the truck still belongs to the fleet-owner I will be renting/leasing it from, so everything that has happened to it is their responsibility. I will likely be signing the lease-agreement while I'm here, however, provided they have repaired everything to my satisfaction.

ell, I'm essentially getting a new transmission now. And I'm still very confident in the motor. It's an old truck and things are going to be failing on it. I'm actually looking forward to taking responsibility for it so that I can be in control of the maintenance and repair decisions. The one thing which has irked me about the company which owns the truck is their tendancy to half-assed fix things rather than having the job done right and getting it back on the road and earning.

However, due to the nature of the way I'm going to be leasing/renting this truck, if things do become unmanageable in keeping it running, I can just give it back to them at anytime and walk away from it.

Man, thank god these aren't on your back. Hoollleeeeeee Cow!

I told Carla her legs look awesome. Mine are clam-chowderish too in terms of paleness. Not to mention I love porch-swings!

Thanks. :) Pale girls unite!

Heh...yeah, you won't have that leathery look. I think people forget that the tanning process is how we get leather.*

Pale is good. Of course, tan lines are kind of nice sometimes, too. :)

* Yeah, I know it's a long, involved process, but still. Prolonged tanning is not sexy.

i'm jealous of your genius on this one.

t's been a lot of fun getting emails and comments from people with their legs. Methinks this shall hafta be an annual rite of spring in these parts.
