Ontario, Oregon... right behind the truckstop I'm parked in for the night. When I pulled it a little while ago the sun was setting behind the motel with all the pink neon. I went and grabbed the camera :)

This was taken in Nipigon Ontario.

hehehe, I didn't even notice that until you pointed it out, but yeah that must have been a june bug or something. The only thing I've run in to worse is Nebraska in the early morning or evening, they must have dragonflys down there or something, whatever kept hitting the windshield sounded like knuckles rapping on wood and the splats were absolutely huge.

Probably cicadas. Wait until you run through the eastern US during the "17 year" cicada season. Although it'll be a while; the last one was in 2004. I was running through Illinois one afternoon that summer and they were just constantly clakcing against the windshield as a drove through corn country.
