photo mayhem!
just got back on the road after being off for nearly a week, hanging out with welfy in Western PA. I had a great time and took hundreds of photos. It occurred to me that I haven't posted a photo mix since March. So without further ado, here's a random assortment for your amusement, in reverse chronological order. As always, feel free to ask about anything which strikes your fancy.

I wish my cats were half that mellow. I'm trying to figure out the best way to get them from FL to NJ with the least amount of trauma.

Eh, the only reason she seems so mellow there is because she had already been riding with me in the truck for a couple of weeks and was acclimated to the environment. She HATES arbitrary changes in her environment and has a minor freakout whenever she's in a new one until she gets adjusted to it.

As for your dilema... the least trauma for them is going to be to drive them up. Whether in carriers, or allowed to roam free in the vehicle, they'll feel at least a little comforted by having you near, hearing your voice, and being pet.

I guess least trauma for you would be to fly them as cargo.

I was thinking of flying with them, but putting them under the seat. I can't decide if two days in a car freaked out or 4 hours in a plane freaked out is worse.

Hrm, well I guess if you can take them onto the plane as carry-on so that they can know you're there that flying might not be such a bad option. Could you get a direct flight or would you have to change planes in Atlanta?

Plenty of direct flights. The problems are I need two tickets (a person for each cat) and then it's an extra $80+ for each animal. All of that is do-able, I just worry about taking then out at security. I'd give them valium shots before, but my cats are the type to run.
